Policies

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Any charges incurred by violating the cancellation policy must be paid before you can secure a new appointment.

NEW CLIENTS
Clients who are new to Nexus must prepay for their appointments. If you violate the cancellation policy, the following will occur:

- Late cancel (less than 24hrs): 50% of the cost of your session will be kept to cover the lost time and the remaining 50% will either be refunded back to you or be held as a credit on your account.

- No Show: You will forfeit 100% of your prepay for that session. In the case of a no show, you will be required to prepay for the next session you book before it can be confirmed and held.

RETURNING CLIENTS
- LATE CANCEL: If you cancel with LESS than 24 hours notice, you will be charged 1/2 price for the session due to it being harder to fill your cancelled time slot. And if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice more than twice, you will be required to pre-pay for your next appointment.

- NO SHOW: If you don't show up for your appointment and did not communicate with me before your appointment time, you will be charged full price for the appointment and will be required to pre-pay for your next appointment before it can be secured. If you are using a Groupon and you do not show up for your session, your Groupon will be redeemed to cover the cost of the no show fee. The appointment is considered a no-show at 15 minutes past appointment start time with no communication from the client.

- PACKAGES: If you are using a package-session and you no-show that session, you will forfeit that package-session. If you late-cancel your package session, you will have the option of paying the cancellation fee (50% of the full cost of the session) or forfeiting a package session. 

ARRIVAL AND APPOINTMENT TIME:

Your appointment time is reserved for you, just like the time before and after you is reserved for other clients. Arriving a few minutes early will allow for you to not go into your session feeling rushed. Your session will be the entire length of your booked time beginning at the start of session. For example, if you booked a 60 minute session at 1:00pm, the 60 minutes begins at 1:00pm and ends at 2:00pm. So please be sure to arrive about 5 minutes early so you can use the restroom and we can do the intake and begin on time.

INCLEMENT WEATHER:

If inclement weather occurs and I cannot safely get to the office, I will reschedule all appointments without any penalty to you. The same goes if you cannot arrive safely. I will not charge for needing to cancel due to inclement weather. 

ILLNESS:

If you have a contagious illness, such as the flu, Covid-19, poison ivy, pink eye, or other similar illnesses, please let me know as soon as possible so we can get you rescheduled. Do not keep your appointment if you have a contagious illness. If you show up for your appointment knowing that you are sick or contagious, you will not only be turned away, but you will be required to pay for the session just like a no-show. Reschedule if you are sick/contagious.

RIGHT TO REFUSE/TERMINATE:
I have the right to refuse or terminate any session at any time. You may be liable for full payment of that session if I have to terminate. If the terminated session is pre-paid, from a package, gift certificate, or Groupon, you will forfeit that payment, package session, gift certificate, or Groupon.
Reasons for refusal or terminated session (but not limited to):
- Inappropriate behavior
- Disclosure of contagious illness
- Being under the influence of alcohol or other drugs, including pain killers/muscle relaxers as massage may not be safe for you with these in your system.

INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR:
I will never, under any circumstance, tolerate inappropriate behavior, such as inappropriate jokes or advances, exposing yourself, or soliciting inappropriate services. Furthermore, I will not tolerate racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or any other intolerant or rude comment or joke. If a session is terminated due to any of these reasons, you will be responsible for the full price and no longer be allowed to receive bodywork from me. Furthermore, I have the right to turn your information over to the police if you are soliciting inappropriate services.
